Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Surveyor and Mapper to join our team. This key position will be responsible for leading our land surveying department and ensuring the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. If a candidate does not hold a PSM, we will consider those with appropriate degrees in geomatics or related fields and the ability to sit for the exam.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of land surveying projects from inception to completion
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in surveying
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
• Prepare and review survey documents, reports, and maps for accuracy and clarity
• Develop and implement strategies for improving departmental efficiency and effectiveness
• Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Valid Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant land surveying experience
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Proficiency in surveying software and technology
• Alternative Qualification (if PSM is not held):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in land surveying
  • Ability and willingness to sit for the PSM exam upon meeting eligibility requirements
